AKU Furiosa BOA Gore-Tex (AK793) – Dark Green/Grey

The AKU Furiosa BOA Gore-Tex. 465g. Built for the pace between hiking and running — Gore-Tex Most Breathable waterproofing, Vibram Megagrip Traction Lug for grip on wet rock and fell ground at speed, BOA Li2 dial for micro-adjustable fit on the move without stopping to relace. Fast hiking shoes with Supercritical EVA cushioning and rebound that holds up across the full day, not just the first hour. Lightweight hiking trainers for light and fast days on UK mountain terrain where a trail runner isn't enough protection and a hiking boot is too much weight.

WHY YOU'LL LIKE IT

  • BOA Li2 bidirectional dial closure — micro-adjustable fit on the move without stopping: dial back for fast uphills, tighten for technical descents, both rotors operate independently so heel and forefoot tension can be set separately to the terrain
  • Vibram Megagrip Traction Lug — Megagrip compound for very high wet rock friction on UK mountain terrain; deep independent traction lugs for grip in mud and soft fell ground at speed; the outsole choice for technical ground where grip is the margin between a confident foot placement and a slip
  • Gore-Tex Most Breathable — keeps feet dry through sustained wet conditions while managing heat build-up better than Gore-Tex More Seasons under fast hiking exertion; the right membrane for high-output days where both water-out and heat-out matter
  • Supercritical EVA midsole at 465g — 15g heavier than the non-waterproof Furiosa BOA (450g) for full Gore-Tex protection; 10g lighter than the Furiosa BOA Trek Gore-Tex (475g) with a Polypropylene lasting board that gives more responsive feel at fast hiking pace than the Trek's Nylon (Soft) board
  • UK 6–13 including half sizes

BEST FOR

  • Fast hikers and fastpackers covering ground on UK fell and mountain terrain who need Gore-Tex waterproofing in a sub-500g shoe — where the non-waterproof Furiosa handles dry-weather speed days and the BOA GTX handles everything else
  • Hikers who want BOA dial adjustment for technical terrain — precise, independent fit control for uphills, descents, and stream crossings without stopping to unlace
  • Fell runners moving up to fast hiking, or trail walkers pushing the pace on wet technical terrain where Vibram Megagrip grip makes the difference over standard hiking outsoles
