AKU Slope Ballistic Gore-Tex (AK885.12) – Black/Olive

The AKU Slope Ballistic Gore-Tex in Black/Olive — a classic AKU hunting shoe rebuilt for daily active use on hilly and mid-mountain terrain. The suede upper carries ballistic fabric inserts on both the upper and tongue, protecting against abrasion from heather stems, bracken, and rough cover that wears unprotected suede through a season. Gore-Tex More Seasons lining provides full waterproofing across burn crossings and wet moorland without trapping heat on active moving days. Double Density Die Cut EVA midsole and a flexible Texon sole board move naturally across varied ground from soft peat to rocky hillside. At 525g per half pair — 65g lighter than the Slope GTX — it is the lightest boot in the AKU Slope hunting range. Made in Europe.

WHY YOU'LL LIKE IT

  • Gore-Tex More Seasons lining — waterproofs across burn crossings, wet moorland, and sustained morning dew without trapping heat during active movement through a full day in the field
  • Suede 1.4mm upper with ballistic fabric inserts — abrasion-resistant on both upper and tongue through heather stems, bracken, and rough cover where unprotected suede wears quickly across a season
  • Double Density Die Cut EVA midsole with Soft Custom Fit footbed — cushions across varied ground from soft peat to rocky hillside, with a footbed tuned softer than the standard Custom Fit on the Slope GTX for all-day daily comfort
  • 525g per half pair — 65g lighter than the Slope GTX, the lightest build in the AKU Slope hunting range, reducing leg fatigue when daily mileage on the hill compounds across a season
  • UK 3–13

BEST FOR

  • Open-hill hunters covering daily mileage on hilly and mid-mountain terrain who want ballistic protection through cover alongside the lightest build in the Slope hunting range
  • Active hunters moving across varied ground — peat bog, heather, rough bracken cover — who need a flexible, breathable three-season boot without the extra weight of the insulated Slope Max GTX (730g) or Slope Max Suede GTX
  • Hunters who prefer the Slope family's flexible build and movement but want improved abrasion protection through rough terrain in place of the AIR8000 breathability panel on the Slope GTX
