Size Guide & Wide Fits

Find your AKU size

Use the Size Finder to match your foot length (cm) to the best starting size. If one foot is larger, base your choice on the longer foot.

Measure properly
  • Measure in the evening.
  • Wear your usual socks.
  • Stand and measure heel to longest toe.
  • Measure both feet; use the larger result.
Refine the recommendation
  • Family: different categories can feel different on-foot.
  • Sock thickness: thicker socks usually need more toe room.
  • Between sizes: if in doubt, choosing the higher size often suits thicker socks and longer days.
Quick fit check (indoors first)

Heel secure, midfoot supported, and comfortable toe room — especially when walking downhill.

Wide fit options

What does “Wide” mean in AKU?

Some AKU models are available in a Wide version. Wide fit provides more space through the foot (especially in the forefoot) for customers who need a roomier fit.

On some ranges, AKU describe Wide fit as the same length but with added width (e.g. the width can feel like the next size up, while keeping the same length).

When should I consider Wide fit?
  • You often feel pressure at the ball of the foot or across the forefoot.
  • You prefer a little extra room for thicker socks.
  • You’re sizing for long days (feet can swell over time).
  • You want comfort without having to size up in length.
Quick tip

Look for “Wide” in the product name and “Fit: Wide” in the product details where available. If you’re unsure between a standard and wide fit for a specific model, contact us with your measurements and sock choice and we’ll help you choose.
