AKU Aurai DFS GTX (965) – Black/Orange
Aurai DFS GTX is AKU technical footwear for high altitude mountaineering and ice climbing. Built as a synthesis of lightness, precision and comfort, it is designed to tackle demanding climbs, even with a fully loaded backpack, while delivering maximum protection and high warmth for prolonged use in cold environments. Thermal insulation is provided by a GORE-TEX® Insulated Comfort lining with 350 g padding, PrimaLoft inserts on the tongue and toe box, and an anatomic felt footbed layered with aluminium. An elastic fabric gaiter covers the entire boot and rises above the cuff to protect from snow and ice. The Kevlar upper combined with Spider Frame over-injection supports impact/abrasion resistance and freedom of movement. AKU Dual Fit System (DFS) allows fit customisation via two different lacing systems, and the Vibram® Croda Litebase outsole is compatible with automatic crampons for stability, grip and precision on technical terrain.
